After a professional career with Downstream Consulting and Ernst & Young, Lionel has acquired a solid experience in legal audit, OHADA business law, petroleum taxation and litigation management.

Holder of a Master's degree in business litigation and arbitration from the Catholic University of Central Africa and a Master's degree in Business and Corporate Law from the University of Douala, Lionel also holds a professional certificate in commercial law, energy and mining activities of the Raw Materials Institute.

He also acquired exceptional experience as Chief of Staff of the President of the Normalization Committee of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT), a role then assumed by Mr. Dieudonné HAPPI. As such, he assisted Mr. HAPPI in the daily management of that institution from September 2017 until the establishment of a new executive in December 2018.

Having been confronted on that occasion with issues related to the management of football in particular and sport in general, he is now a member of ACASDS, the Cameroonian Association of Lawyers Specialized in Sports Law.
